Founded by Mr. William Perry, who was the founder and owner of the first licensed African-American flower shop in Miami, Perry’s Florist has been part of the fabric of the Miami community since the late 1920’s. This historic flower shop has weaved its way into many family stories through the years of dedication making flowers for weddings, proms, birthdays, sympathy flowers and celebrations of life.

It is common for customers to come to the store and share their stories with us on how Perry’s has touched their lives. “I remember when I bought my wife’s prom corsage in this store”, “I use to come with my parents to buy flowers here when I was a kid” or “I bought the flowers for my mother’s passing here”. This establishment was run by the Perry Family until 2015 when William Perry, Jr. passed the torch to the Badilla Family. This family business has celebrated the triumphs in our community and held the community close to our hearts during challenging times like the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Perry’s Florist donated flowers to more than four nursing homes to help lift the spirits of their residents. Our family and flower shop is also dedicated to working with community partners to create positive impact in the Liberty City community which has been its home for more than 65 years.
